Forget it...

Forget my last post, I was delusional trying to think I would be satisfied on a windows box. No, no, I am happily back on Ubuntu 64 bit, and so far, its been better than before.

Now, I just need to dive deeper into PHP, Joomla, and MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Back to Windows...

I have reverted back to Windows. This time I am using Vista 64 bit, and so far so good!

Linux continued...

It has been 5 months now, and I have not turned back to MS. I enjoy my Ubuntu box too much. Interestingly I have been able to mimic much of the functionality of a Mac computer using document centric capabilities. The most noticeable difference is the speed. Linux keeps on humming and does not have to deal with a bloated registry with phantom entries that lead to nowhere.

The WORLD is Open Source...

So now I have fully made the switch to Linux! My experience has been very interesting. I have written some shell scripts in !bash, played around with the plethora of packages that come with this particular distribution, and find myself comparing the overall logic in user interaction as compared with Windows. ...more to come on this topic!
